Caroline Conner

MD

Providing more than a decade of experience,  Caroline Conner, MD, is trained in minimally invasive gynecological treatments such as robotic hysterectomy, NovaSure® ablation, and hormone replacement therapy. The Orange Coast OBGYN physicians are also highly trained in treating ovarian cysts, infertility, vaginal dryness, abnormal pap smears, pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, and more.

Dr. Conner specializes in hormone replacement therapy. She is a certified Biote physician and treats women and men of all ages with hormonal imbalances. She offers a variety of different options including bioidentical hormones, testosterone pellets and thyroid replacement.

Marc Winter

M.D., F.A.C.O.G.

Dr. Winter completed medical school and residency training at the University of California at Irvine College of Medicine and has been practicing in Laguna Hills since 1989. His practice is limited to gynecology and he specializes in minimally invasive surgery. With more than 20 years of performing gynecological surgeries, Dr. Winter has invested his energy in developing and offering less invasive procedures to his patients. He was the first surgeon on the West Coast to perform a hysterectomy using robotic single-site technology (a procedure performed with a single small incision). He is a national expert in Robotic surgery and has experience in performing complex hysterectomies, myomectomies, endometriosis resections, cerclages, and sacrocolpopexy.

Serving as the Medical Director of Minimal Invasive Surgery at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, Dr. Winter has performed over 1,300 robotic surgical procedures. Some of his recently published articles have shown better surgical results using robotic surgery for hysterectomy, cost-effectiveness of robotic hysterectomy, as well as excellent results performing robotic-assisted abdominal cerclage for incompetent cervix. He also has an interest in urogynecology, including pelvic reconstructive surgery and non-invasive surgical options for urinary incontinence.

Dr. Winter has been designated one of the twenty-three epicenters, or national training sites in benign robotic gynecologic surgery for Intuitive Surgical, the maker of the daVinci Robot. AtSaddleback Memorial Medical Center’s training ground, Dr. Winter educates surgeons nationwide on the latest in robotic surgical techniques. With his many years of clinical research and several published papers, he additionally teaches advanced gynecologic surgical courses in the community, with the honor of lecturing/performing procedures throughout the United States and overseas. Patients can expect the most advanced care and excellent clinical outcomes.

A man of many talents, Dr. Winter also has an interest in hormone replacement therapy and is a proponent of bio-identical hormones. Having attended numerous hormone replacement therapy conferences, he implemented a new choice of hormone replacement at his practice, Pellet HRT.

​

In the midst of his busy clinical profession, he loves to travel, spend time with his family, watch sports, and rocking out with friends playing the saxophone.

​Leila E. Miranda-Lavertu

Nurse Practitioner & Aesthetic Nurse Specialist

Leila is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner and an Aesthetic Nurse Specialist. She has a Master’s of Science in Nursing from California State University Long Beach and trained in Family and Emergency Medicine. Leila has a very strong and diverse Clinical background and she works at Little Company of Mary Torrance as an Emergency Clinical Nurse Educator for the ER and is on faculty at the El Camino College Nursing Program. Leila joined SkinMedix in 2007 and never looked back. Her aesthetic training is always on-going and she is an advanced injector and certified in aesthetic procedures. Leila is sweet, caring and is loved and respected by her patients, co-workers and students!

Leila has a passion for both anti-aging & wellness medicine as well as Aesthetic Medicine, and has been specially trained and certified in both. Her areas of services offered at SkinMedix include Botox, Injectable Fillers, All Laser & Resurfacing Treatments, PRP, and Hormone Replacement Therapy. Committed to safety, quality, and excellent aesthetic outcomes, she actively seeks knowledge through research, conferences, training seminars, and consumer experiences to deliver the best skin care to her clients. Leila is sweet, caring and a good listener.

Leila is also a member of numerous nursing associations and societies including the Emergency Nursing Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Pediatric Liaison Nurse of Los Angeles County, and Organization of Healthcare Educators. She is a lecturer and trainer for the Collaborative for Alternatives to Violence and Abuse (CAVA), a South Bay community-wide initiative program that provides an innovative model of care in identification, referral, safety, and follow-up of intimate partner violence victims. Her genuine compassion, gentle spirit, and dedication create a positive experience for her clients.
